A Devotional Journey Through the Psalms: Psalm 12

A Devotional Journey Through the Psalms: Psalm 12
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever (Psalm 12:6-7).

God’s word is the true, real, unmixed, morally righteous, authentic, clean, holy, absolute truth!

His Word:
Rely upon it. It is reliable!
Trust in it. It is trustworthy!
Depend upon it. It is dependable!
Look upon it. It is light!
Feed upon it. It is bread!
Stand upon it. It is a rock!
Build upon it. It is unshakable!
Walk upon it. It will never mislead!
Meditate upon it. It is wisdom!
Gaze upon it. It is wondrous!
Be in agreement with it. It is without error!

His Word will bring—
blessing to those who follow its commands.
cleansing to those who apply it’s purity.
victory to those who hide it in their heart.
delight to those who listen to its counsel.
strength to those who trust its promises.
teaching to those who learn its ways.
hope to those who receive its comfort.
insight to those who apply its wisdom.
riches to those who value its worth.
character to those who yield to its authority.

Insight: When you read the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. It is a supernatural, living book that only the Holy Spirit can make alive in you!

Insight: Bathe in Scriptures’ precepts, they will wash you cleaner than any soap.

Insight: The Bible is a musical book. Its words can come off its pages and dance around in your heart.
