My Morning Prayer; You Are Blessed with the Holy Spirit

My Morning Prayer; You Are Blessed with the Holy Spirit
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

You Are Blessed with the Holy Spirit
-Roy Lessin

When you come to God in times of personal dryness or when you are in need of help or healing, you will find His loving hand pouring out the anointing oil of His Spirit upon you—comforting, refreshing, and filling you. His oil heals and soothes, calms and relieves, and causes His face to shine upon you.

You anoint my head with oil (Psalm 23:5 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley
Thank You Lord for being with me in the midst of every day. My trials, difficulties, pain, doubt...You are with me in all of it. Thank You for Your loving hand pouring out an anointing oil of Your Spirit. Thank You for comforting, refreshing and filling me. I need a fresh Word from You, and little bit more than I needed yesterday. I need to be healed, soothed, calmed and relieved. I want to see and feel Your face shining upon me. Lord Jesus, let it be so! In Your name I pray. Amen.

Timely Tidbit of Truth 35

Timely Tidbits of Truth 35
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

When you’re in a low place
God will either bring you to the mountain top,
or bring the mountain top to you!

Every valley shall be exalted,
And every mountain brought low! (Isaiah 40:4)

Jesus, Our Only Option Part 1

Jesus, Our Only Option Part 1
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

When you desire cold cereal for breakfast you can go to the grocery store and walk down an aisle that is stocked, from top to bottom, with every kind of cereal your taste buds could crave. If you want to buy a new house you can spend weeks or even months house hunting and considering all the choices that are available to you.

Even though we like variety and are thankful for all the options that present themselves to us in life, there are times when the options before us bring frustration and confusion. We want to get the best value and make the best choice. Often, we seek out reviews and the opinions of others before we make our decisions.

Clearly some choices are much more important than others. It is one thing to decide which box of cereal to eat; it is quite another thing to decide which college to attend, which career to pursue, or which person to marry. Thankfully, when it comes to the most important decision in life, God has made it very simple for us. He does not present to us a “supermarket” of spiritual paths that we may choose in order to know and follow Him. He does not say to us, “Go down this aisle and look over all the spiritual options I have given you and then pick the one that suits you best.”

Our decision to know and follow God is so important that He has presented us with only one option. Every road sign God has made points to one person; every message God has spoken proclaims one name; every view God shows us of Himself reveals one face.

In this moment, for you, Jesus Christ is God’s only option.

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me (John 14:6 AMP).

My Morning Prayer; You Have So Much Going for You

My Morning Prayer; You Have So Much Going for You

You Have So Much Going for You
-Roy Lessin

Even though you may have a lot of things that come against you, you have so much more going for you. While your enemies try to rob you of your joy, God spreads a lavish table before you filled with spiritual blessings of goodness, kindness, and love. As you come to Him in prayer you find a table your soul can delight in…your faith can feast upon…and your heart can rejoice in. His table is never empty.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies (Psalm 23:5 AMPC).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

My sweet, heavenly Father, You are my everything. My all in all. I need You more than the air I breathe. Thank You for choosing me to be a part of Your family, for loving me first, for inviting me to Your feasting table. I'm humbled by Your goodness and mercies that You give me new every morning. Thank You. As I come to You this morning may I feast on the blessings of kindness, goodness and love. As I sit and pray at Your table now may I delight in You, feast with You, and rejoice in You. I want to be glorified in You, satisfied in You, and rest in all You are doing in my life today. You are my Lord and Savior, and I worship You. In Jesus's name, amen.

Timely Tidbit of Truth 34, A Prayer to Start Each Day

Timely Tidbit of Truth 34, A Prayer to Start Each Day
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
I receive from You,
A Supernatural Day!

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think (
Ephesians 3:20 NLT).

What’s Happening on the Inside?

What’s Happening on the Inside?
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

A familiar prayer in Scripture is “Thy kingdom come...”  Where does God want to establish His kingdom?  Our tendency is to only think of His Kingdom coming outside of ourselves—a kingdom that He will establish when Jesus Christ returns. As we wait for His kingdom to come upon the earth in the future, God wants to establish His kingdom within us today.
Romans 14:18 tells us that the kingdom of God within us is established in only one way, through the person of the Holy Spirit. Our problems come when we try to establish God’s kingdom in our lives through our own efforts or systems. We cannot produce or establish anything that is of God.

We cannot, by doing outward things, however good they appear, make ourselves into what God wants us to be.

There are three things the Holy Spirit works within us to establish God’s kingdom: righteousness, peace, and joy. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to produce all three. God does not want one-third of His kingdom established within us, or two-thirds, but the whole. The kingdom does not come within us in sections or on the installment plan. God doesn’t say, “Be good and I will give you righteousness. Be very good for a long time and I will give you peace. Be very, very good for a long, long time and I will give you joy.”

People become restless and joyless when they try to establish their own righteousness. What we do outwardly does not change us inwardly. The Scribes and Pharisees who lived during the years of Jesus’ ministry were a group of outwardly religious people who went about trying to establish their own righteousness through their works and by keeping their man-made rules and traditions.

They worked hard at it, but it did not produce any joy or peace within them. Instead, they were without faith, hard, demanding, angry, critical, and judgmental. Their outward form of righteousness left them empty. And, when they were confronted with the reality of the kingdom of God through Jesus Christ, they became more miserable.

We cannot walk in daily peace and joy if we carry unrighteousness in our hearts. The unrighteousness of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness, will rob us of our peace and joy; the unrighteousness of worry, fear, and anxiety will quench the flow of the Holy Spirit within us.
Everything about righteousness is good, pure, clean, wholesome, and healthy to our inner-man.

Attitudes of unrighteousness will quench the peace and joy of the Holy Spirit, but righteousness will release them. The fruit of righteousness is not sour grapes.

Inward righteousness comes from the Holy Spirit, not disciplines or rituals.  Inward peace comes from the Holy Spirit, not from ideal circumstances or times of silence. Inward joy comes from the Holy Spirit, not from entertainment or good times. As believers in Jesus Christ we need to yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to produce the life of the Kingdom within us. Let Him anoint you with the oil of joy and clothe you with the garment of praise; let His peace rule in your heart and guard your mind; let His righteousness bring health and wholeness to your spirit.

Today, may your prayer be, “Lord, let your kingdom come in me.”

The kingdom of God is…righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:18 NASB).

My Morning Prayer; God Will Comfort You

My Morning Prayer; God Will Comfort You

God Will Comfort You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Comfort in prayer comes by knowing that the One you look to is always looking out for you. He is not only with you, but He is actively doing everything that is necessary to keep you safe within His care. You can be assured that above you are His tender mercies…around you is His unfailing love…underneath you are His everlasting arms.

Let, I pray You, Your merciful kindness and steadfast love be for my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant (Psalm 119:76 AMPC).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Thank You, Father, for You are always watching out for me, caring for me, and providing for me. Thank You for keeping me safe within Your care, for placing Your tender mercies above me, Your unfailing love around me, and carrying me in Your everlasting arms. As I face this week, this day, this situation, remind me of the place You hold in my life, and the ways You are doing battle on my behalf. Help me to desire more of You, and less of myself. May Your will rule in my heart and my life. I love You, and need to be reminded of Your unwavering love for me. In Jesus's name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 33

Timely Tidbits of Truth 33
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Jesus is the Rock that our faith can stand upon, the Tree that our faith can rest upon, the Way that our faith can walk upon, and the Truth that our faith can count upon.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me (John 14:6 NLT).

The Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him (Psalm 92:15).

What Is Best

What Is Best
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

When you have joy like a fountain,
grace to climb the highest mountain…
Truth that is your sure foundation,
freedom from all condemnation…
Peace beyond all earthly measure,
heaven’s riches as your treasure…
Hope that gives you expectation,
love that brings you affirmation…
Then your heart has found true rest,
for you have tasted of God’s best.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (
Psalm 23:6).

God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection (Psalm 18:30 NLT).

My Morning Prayer, Nothing Is Better than His Presence

My Morning Prayer, Nothing Is Better than His Presence
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Nothing Is Better than His Presence
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The greatest thing your heart can experience with God is His presence. He is greater than any of His gifts. What He is to you is greater than anything He can do for you. His lovingkindness is better than life…in His presence is fullness of joy…at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. When God gives Himself to you there is nothing higher or greater He can give.

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You (Psalm 63:3 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Oh Dear Father...how often I try to substitute Your gifts for Your presence. Help me to desire only You, only Your presence, Your right hand, Your touch. I know in my head that I need You, help me to need You more than the gifts, more than You working Your will in my life, more than the healing. I just want You. Help me to keep these things in perspective, to be content sitting in silence at Your feet, meditating on Your Word, worshiping You in truth. I need more of You every moment of every day. In Jesus's name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 32

Timely Tidbits of Truth 32
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The life that Jesus lived on earth taught us that if we want to live a life of faith and trust in our Heavenly Father, the word “impossible” would have to be taken out of our vocabulary.

For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37).

Is any thing too hard for the Lord? (Genesis 18:14).

God’s Masterpiece

God’s Masterpiece
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Long ago, God had a plan for your life.
Nothing about your life “just happened”.
Luck doesn’t define your existence.
Fate doesn’t explain why you are here.
Your life is filled with meaning, value, and purpose because of the One who formed you and transformed you in Christ.

You are uniquely designed by your wonderful Creator! Nothing about you was hidden from Him. The sovereign hand that formed you is the hand that will uphold you, lead you, and keep you. You were made by Him, your Heavenly Father, and you were made for Him.

God made you for Himself. You are the vessel that holds His treasure. To know Him personally is your highest purpose. To serve Him faithfully is your greatest privilege. To please Him fully is your deepest joy. To be with Him forever is your greatest reward.

He is the one who determined your birth date.
He brought you into this world, at this time, for a holy purpose…It is His will for you to be His light in a dark world, and to a needy generation.

He saw all of your days before you lived one of them. Nothing can stand in the way of His plan for your life! He is your hope and your future. As your Shepherd He will lead you, as your Father He will nurture you, as your Teacher He will instruct you, as your Shelter He will surround you with His tender mercies.

Today, and in every tomorrow, He will be with you in goodness, and care for you in faithfulness. Trust Him fully, follow Him completely, and never look back. His best for you is still ahead! Your heart has yet to realize the good things that God has prepared for you.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago (Ephesians 2:10 NLT).

My Morning Prayer, God’s Heart Draws You to His Heart

My Morning Prayer, God’s Heart Draws You to His Heart
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

God’s Heart Draws You to His Heart
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

God loves you:
With a love that reaches to the heights,
With a love that goes to the depths,
With a love that calls you,
Draws you, keeps you,
And holds you close to His heart.

Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God (Ephesians 3:17–19 NLT).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Good morning, Lord God...Your love is encompassing me, and all that I see. Thank You for letting Your love reach me, no matter where I am situated—whether I am on a mountain top or deep in a valley. Thank You for always reaching out to me, and help me to have ears to hear Your quiet gentle Spirit as You whisper to me again and again. May my tattered heart and weary body feel the healing of Your embrace as You reach out to me every moment of every day...I need Your love in every sense of my being! Thank You for loving me, and help me to love others with the love You instill in me. May my heart be an extension of Your heart here on earth. In Jesus's name, amen.
