Reflections From the Heart of God, Part 6

Reflections From the Heart of God, Part 6
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

He calls you by name. You are His beloved child, the apple of His eye, and the delight of His heart.

Today you are in the exact place He wants you to be, and tomorrow He will be with you as He has always been—in goodness, in kindness, and in faithfulness.

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance (Psalm 65:11 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer: The Humble Place

My Morning Prayer: The Humble Place
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Humble Place
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts (Isaiah 57:15 NLT).

God’s grace works within our lives to strip us and reduce us, to mold us and shape us, to conform us into His image, and to transform us into His likeness. God reveals to us our true needs and causes us to see how truly dependent we are upon Him. God does this, not to leave us empty, but to fill us with His true riches found in Jesus Christ; not to leave us downcast, but to be our glory and the lifter of our heads; not to make our lives miserable, but to bring to us the fullness of His joy; not to make our lives meaningless, but to work within us His eternal purpose.

My Monday Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Lord God, You are my Father and Shepherd. You provide for me and direct me. You guide me to where I need to be in life circumstances and surround me with exactly what I need to be more dependent upon You. Thank You.

As the world is focused on the material things of Christmas, help me to continue to look in the manger, being grateful for all You have given me. Thank You for walking with me through difficult circumstances, for being Light in this dark valley, for comforting me in physical and emotional pain, for providing for me before I know what I will need for tomorrow. The "manna" of Your body and blood is more than enough to carry me through each day. I praise You for the forgiveness of my sins. I rejoice that You will return again one day. Give me courage to testify of Your goodness, which far surpasses worldly possessions.  Help me to be content in the "just enough" for today, and to trust You for tomorrow. Continue to make me transformed into Your likeness, to be filled with Your riches, and to be walking in the fullness of Your joy as You work within me Your eternal purpose. I ask all this in humility, that You loved a sinner such as me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Bless You!

Bless You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV).

The Lord-
The only God. The one, true, eternal God!
Yahweh. The Giver of all that is good.
The Blesser of every blessing. The Giver of every good and perfect gift. The Giver of the greatest gift, who is the blessing of all blessings—His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

bless you-
Not someone else, but you. Not sometime later, but now. Not somewhere else, but right where you are.
Blessed with the blessings found in God alone. Blessings from His presence—for you, with you, in you, upon you, and through you.

and keep you;
Kept by your Keeper. Not neglected. Not misplaced. Not forsaken. Kept by the Omnipotent God of your salvation. Kept in the almighty hold of His strong hand. Kept by the One who is in charge and in control. Kept by the One who will keep you from falling. Kept by the love of your good and caring Father.

The Lord make His face shine upon you-
His face is Jesus’ face. No darkness there.
No gloom. No shadows. The face of glory. The beautiful face of holiness. Pure and good. Full of splendor. Brightness shining down upon you. Touching you. Warming you. Beam upon beam of life-giving splendor. His face of glory, shining upon your face with radiant light.

And be gracious to you;
Good, acceptable, beneficial grace. Grace upon grace. Favor upon favor. So much, so freely, coming your way time after time. Grace for strengthening. Grace for abounding. Grace for going, doing, and being. Grace for the journey, grace for enduring, grace for standing strong until His kingdom comes.

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you-
His endearing countenance. Full of compassion and lovingkindness. Intimate, supportive, accepting, gracious, affirming. His smile of delight as He looks upon you, His child. The countenance of your loving Heavenly Father revealing the pleasure you bring to Him because you are His!

and give you peace.
Heart peace. Shalom peace. “Peace that passes understanding” peace. Peace that Jesus gives. Peace the world can’t give. Perfect peace. “The fruit of the Spirit” peace. The peace of God. The peace from God. Peace with God. Peace to cover, peace to enfold, peace to uphold. Peace to quiet you, peace to assure you that you are His.

The greatest blessing of the Lord,
is the Lord of the blessing.

The blessing of the Lord be upon you!

My Morning Prayer: As God’s Child, Who Is Against You?

My Morning Prayer: As God’s Child, Who Is Against You?
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

As God's Child, Who Is Against You?
-Roy Lessin, A Place at His Table

If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31 NLT).

God is not against you.
Jesus is not against you.
The Holy Spirit is not against you.
The angels are not against you.
They are greater than any foe that is against you.
It is God who has the final authority
and the final say over everything that concerns you.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Dear Father, thank You for promising me that You would be with me, and for me. Thank You for showing Your greatness on my behalf, willing to protect me and watch over me. Thank You, God, for being the final authority in everything that concerns me. Thank You for Your love and care and going to battle on my behalf. Please help me to walk in the confidence I can claim, knowing that Your promises are true. Your love sustains me, and I love You because of Your love for me, a sinner. In Jesus' name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 3

Timely Tidbits of Truth 3
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The human heart delights in the fame received through the accomplishment of big things;
The heart of God delights in the humility found in the hearts of those who are faithful in the little things.

Are you seeking great things for yourself? Don’t do it! (Jeremiah 45:5 NLT).
You are the Lord God…You found Abraham’s heart faithful before You (Nehemiah 9:8).

Reflections From the Heart of God, Part 5

Reflections From the Heart of God, Part 5
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Always remember, when God made you
He did so with a purpose and a plan.
He saw all your days before you lived one of them
and placed over you the covering of His protective love.
He has allowed nothing to come into your life
that has not first been screened through that love.
His hand has remained upon you to this very day.

The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV).

My Morning Prayer: May You Find Jesus to Be…

My Morning Prayer: May You Find Jesus to Be…
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

May You Find Jesus to Be…
-Roy Lessin, A Place at His Table

For me to live is Christ [His life in me] (Philippians 1:21 AMPC).

May You Find Jesus to Be…
The music that causes your heart to sing;
The joy that causes your heart to rejoice;
The glory that causes your heart to worship;
The wonder that causes your heart to believe;
The security that causes your heart to trust;
The peace that causes your heart to rest;
The promise that causes your heart to hope;
The beauty that causes your heart to delight;
The majesty that causes your heart to surrender;
The love that causes your heart to give.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Dear Lord, You are ALL these things to me, and so much more. Thank You for being the music, joy and glory that calls me to worship and rejoice in You. Help me to believe when my faith is weak, to trust Your promises and rest in Your Word. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I might delight in You, as I surrender my life over and over every day, and give You my all, because it ALL comes from You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

You are God’s sheep—
You don’t need a plan.
You need a Shepherd!

The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want…He leads me... (Psalm 23:1-2 ESV).

What I See

What I See
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 NKJV).

Some look around, see the heartaches of life and say, “How can there be a God?” For me it’s the opposite. When I look around and see our sin and selfishness I say, “How can there be goodness, blessing, and grace; how can there be mercy, kindness, and forgiveness; how can there be salvation, hope and love?”

In heartache, I see a Healer.
In sorrow, I see a Comforter.
In darkness, I see a Light.
In suffering, I see a Burden Bearer.
In discouragement, I see a Lifter of our heads.
In need, I see an Intercessor.
In want, I see a Shepherd.
In loneliness, I see an unfailing Friend.
In grieving, I see the One who wipes away tears.
In death, I see the One who is the Resurrection and the Life!

My Morning Prayer: All Things Are Possible

My Morning Prayer: All Things Are Possible
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

All Things Are Possible
-Roy Lessin

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23 NKJV).

When your resources don’t match your need, faith says, “God is my provider.” When you are fearful to take the next step, faith says, “God will not fail me.” When you’re not sure what to do next, faith says, “God will guide me.”

When you are in a situation that seems impossible, faith says, “Nothing is too hard for the Lord.”

When the things that you are experiencing don’t make sense, faith says, “God knows what He is doing.”

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, God, You ARE my provider. Thank You for the provisions You place within my grasp, and for each thing You give to me and those I love. You never fail me, and You will guide me. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Help me to see beyond my neediness and remember that You know what my needs are before I even ask or think. Provide faith for my impossible situations, and help me to trust You always. I know that You know what You are doing in my life, and You have every detail, even the ones I can't imagine. I surrender to Your wisdom and give you all authority to work things out the way You see as best for my future. I love You and thank You for Your love for me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 1

Hello Friends!
We want to introduce you to a new series from Roy, called Timely Tidbits of Truth. We pray that it continues to point you to Biblical Truth, and encourages you in your walk with the Lord.
-Marina

Timely Tidbits of Truth 1
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Two important aspects of prayer:
1. Your Request:
You bring to God the things that concern you.

2. His Answer:
God brings to you the things that concern Him.

We are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him (1 John 5:14 NLT).

Reflections from the Heart of God, Part 4

Reflections from the Heart of God, Part 4
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

He surrounds you with good things and showers you with blessings;
He fills you to overflowing and multiplies your joys;
He does exceeding abundantly above all that you could ask or think.
He gives to you freely, generously, unconditionally—
grace upon grace, favor upon favor, kindness up kindness.
He gives you more than your thoughts could imagine,
more than your arms could embrace,
and more than your heart could ever hold.

There are no greater riches than those that are found in the treasure of Jesus Christ…
No deeper joy than the one that is known in His wonderful presence…
No sweeter song than the melody of His love filling the heart…
No truer friendship than the one that comes by walking with Him…
No higher calling than to follow the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32 NKJV).
