My Morning Prayer: A Battle Proclamation

My Morning Prayer: A Battle Proclamation
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Lord, the battle is Yours.
You are the final word in every conflict, and conquer every foe.
You can deliver with many or with few, flatten a walled stronghold or break the fetters off those who are bound.

You are almighty, no one is stronger; You sit upon heaven’s throne, no one is higher; You know all things, no one is wiser. You know exactly what to do —when You move no one can stop You; when you speak no one can silence You; when You use Your two-edged sword no one can disarm You.

I am covered in Your mercies, clothed in Your righteousness, dressed in Your armor. I gird myself with Your truth, and abide under the shelter of Your wings.

You are my dwelling place, I am at rest;
You are my hiding place, I am secure;
You are my fortress, I am safe;
You are my tower, I am sheltered;
You are my shield, I am protected.

Thank You, Mighty God, that the battle, the weapons, the strategy and the victory are all Yours—You are the One who will raise up a standard against the enemy when he comes in like a flood; You will not allow any weapon that is formed against me to prosper; You will put the enemy to flight—I proclaim it and believe it to be so in the name of Him who is seated at Your right hand—the One who triumphed over sin, death, and the powers of darkness—the One whose blood redeems, whose stripes heal, whose grace sustains, whose hands uphold, and whose love never fails—the King of kings, the name above all names, Jesus Christ the Lord!

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. “See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and humiliated. Anyone who opposes you will die and come to nothing. You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing. For I hold you by your right hand— I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you (Isaiah 41:10-13 NLT).

Timely Tidbits of Truth 13

Timely Tidbits of Truth 13
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Lord, be to me-
The quiet in every stormy sea.
The possible in my impossible.
The sufficiency when I have nothing to offer.
The surety in my uncertainty.
The wholeness in my bits and pieces.
The solid ground beneath my new pathway.
The Sonshine breaking through every cloudy day!

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV).

No Burden

No Burden
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

There is no burden beyond His strength…
no boundaries to His love…
no limit to His mercies…
no problem outside His solution…
no need beyond His care.

I bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness; for You have exalted Your name and Your word above everything (Psalm 138:2 NRSV).

My Morning Prayer: He Reduces to Increase

My Morning Prayer: He Reduces to Increase
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Don’t be discouraged today if you sense God’s hand doing its sanctifying work in your life. If He is trimming your wick, it is only to make your light shine brighter; if He is allowing you to be pressed within His caring hands, it is only to release the flow of the sweet wine of His Spirit.

Humble yourself under His mighty hand, and as you do, allow this prayer to be upon your lips: Father, work in me what I cannot work; do in me what I cannot do; be in me what I cannot be; live through me what I cannot live—for I know it is through You, and You alone, that my life will be to the praise of Your glory. Amen.

He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more (John 15:2 NLT).

There’s plenty of ENOUGH in Jesus,
to be more than ENOUGH for you!

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:9-10 NKJV).

God Wants Us To Move...

God Wants Us To Move...
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

God wants us to move through this day with a quiet heart,
an inward assurance that He is in control,
a peaceful certainty that our lives are in His hands,
a deep trust in His plan and purposes,
and a thankful disposition toward all that He allows.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness
(Lamentations 3:22, 23 NRSV).

My Morning Prayer: A Prayer of Service

My Morning Prayer: A Prayer of Service
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

God, here are my hands; work through them as I give myself to Your assigned tasks. Here is my voice, speak Your words through me as I follow Your promptings. Here are my feet; guide them in the paths of righteousness as I obey Your leading. Here is my heart; fill it with the love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things…the love that never fails—for Your glory. Amen.

We ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake (2 Corinthians 4:5 NLT).

God’s hand…that holds the stars, that wipes the tear, that lifts the weary, that blesses the humble, that works all wonders…is upon you!

You place your hand of blessing on my head (Psalm 139:5 NLT).

Reflections From the Heart of God; God Goes Before You

Reflections From the Heart of God; God Goes Before You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

He has a life for you to live, a plan for you to follow, and a purpose for you to fulfill.
He has allowed you to be here, at this time in history, to be His watchman to this generation.

"...I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me"
(Isaiah 46:9 NIV).

God goes before you today and His presence is with you.

My Morning Prayer: Jesus Rose for You

My Morning Prayer: Jesus Rose for You
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Jesus Rose for You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Jesus died and rose for us! Does this not say it all?
If we only knew this one truth, it would be sufficient.
If we only had this loaf of spiritual bread to eat, it would satisfy our hunger.
If we only had this living water to drink, it would quench our thirst.

Jesus died and rose for you!
This is the taproot from which the tree of life grows.
This is the headwater from which the healing river flows.
This is the pen from which the great doctrines of faith are written—justification, sanctification, redemption, salvation—Jesus died and rose for you.

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, as we continue to contemplate and celebrate all that Jesus did for us, we praise You that You made a way through Him for us to be redeemed. Thank You for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank You that because of the great power that lives in Him, we can look forward to all the promises made in the Bible. Because of the power in Jesus's name, we are justified, sanctified, redeemed, and saved...and someday we too will be resurrected, joining You God, and Your Son, Jesus, in the heavenlies. What a great and marvelous day that will be! May we live each day being Your hands and feet, sharing the Gospel promises to those who don't yet know You, until we are united. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 10

Timely Tidbits of Truth 10
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

In given moments I wonder, “Where would we be without the Lord?”
It is in those moments I hear Him say, “You will never be without Me.”

He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” (Hebrews 13:5 AMP).

Jesus Died for You

Jesus Died for You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The message of the cross is a message of God’s amazing love and grace. The Bible tells us that Jesus died for you.

Jesus dying for you is a glorious truth. He died for your sins. He took your sins upon Himself. He was your sacrificial lamb. His blood made atonement for you.

He was your substitute, dying in your place—taking your judgment, your death, your hell. He died as your Redeemer, shedding His blood to buy you back to God as His possession, and to bring you the heart-freeing joy of knowing Him.

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer: The Glory of the Cross

My Morning Prayer: The Glory of the Cross
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Glory of the Cross
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The cross tells us:
We are sinners and need a Savior.
We are lost and need to be found.
We are guilty and need mercy.

The cross points us to Jesus:
His shed blood cleanses us.
His grace justifies us.
His finished work makes us whole.

The cross assures us:
Jesus is the only way.
God’s love held nothing back.
We have been bought with a price.

Far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (Galatians 6:14 ASV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, now that our Easter finery is put away, the company has gone home, the church halls are empty—let us not forget that the purpose of the cross was not meant for one day or even for one week, but for our lifetime and to have eternity with You. Thank You God for Your love, so perfect. Thank You Jesus, for laying Your life down as the price for our sins. Thank You Holy Spirit for walking with us each moment of every day, every season, that we can be comforted by You and never be left alone.

Your presence in my life is to be remembered every day, and my freedom from sin is meant to be celebrated! God, we give You the glory for making a way that will never end. Thank You for creating me to be Yours. Amen.
