Timely Tidbits of Truth 61, Refresh
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow
This word gives
us great delight. It brings to mind a cool drink on a hot day or the protective
shade of an oak from the midday sun. Sin brings us into the dry, barren place,
but refreshing comes when we turn back to the Lord and experience the delightfulness
and utter joy of His presence.
The Lord’s
refreshing also comes to us in our labor and in our service—bringing us rest,
lifting our burden, refocusing our vision, invigorating our zeal, clarifying
our purpose, quickening our step, and gladdening our hearts as we walk with
Him.
Therefore repent and turn back, that your sins
may be wiped out so that season of refreshing may come from the presence of the
Lord (Acts 3:19 HCSB).
MAY THE Lord answer
you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high
[and defend you]; Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and
strengthen you (Psalm 20:1-2 AMP).
