Knowing His Best...
What is more, I
consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them
rubbish, that I may gain Christ. -Philippians 3:8 NIV
Walking in Rest!
Rest comes through yielding.
When you release something to God you place "it" in His hands, when
you yield to God you place "yourself" in His hands. When you release
something to God you are giving Him your will; when you yield to Him you are
giving Him your heart. A yielded heart lives for Him and counts Him as the
greatest one to know...the highest goal to seek...the richest treasure to
possess. When the heart has the right
motives, when it seeks to gain Christ instead of personal reward, when it seeks
His approval instead of the recognition of others, it can be at rest.
