My Morning Prayer: Unto Us Came the Heart of Christmas

What if you could be given a gift that was as great as the thought of the love that was behind it…that’s what God gave you! -Roy

Unto Us Came the Heart of Christmas
-Roy Lessin

Jesus is the heart of everything that is true, that is good, and that is holy. He is the heart of love and all it gives; the heart of righteousness and all it represents; the heart of mercy and all it restores; the heart of kindness and all it embraces; the heart of grace and all it provides.

All that our hearts have ever desired, every need we face, every truth we seek, and every blessing we long for is found in Jesus Christ. There is no other person, no other relationship, no other provision, and no other source that God will use to meet our deepest needs. All things are in Jesus Christ, and we are complete in Him.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, as we receive the gifts of Your heart—all that is true, good, and holy, help us to focus on giving those things as living examples to those around us. Restore relationships in our home, family, workplace, even to the stranger in the store, the driver in the parking lot, through mercy, kindness, and grace—all for Your glory. As You have extended those things to me, restoring me to my Heavenly Father, allow me to gift these things to others, to bring your hands and feet into this broken world. I want Jesus to shine through me, especially as I prepare my heart to celebrate Your earthly arrival. Equip me. Heal me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
