My Morning Prayer: Fulfilled Promises
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow
Promise
For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your
children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as
the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself. Acts 2:39 AMP
Prayer
Thank You, God, that You are a promise maker and a promise keeper.
I thank You that You give us promises to trust in, and that You
fulfill them in Your time. Thank You that Your timing is always perfect; that
You are never too late; that You never make a promise that is empty; that You
never forget a promise that You have made, and You never make a mistake.
I thank You, God, Your promises are not just for generations past,
but are for my generation and for the generations to come. Thank You that
what You promised the early church, You have also promised us.
May our hearts always have the assurance that You are
not only the promise keeper of the past, but also the promise keeper of today
and the promise keeper of the future.
Thank You that Your promises to our children are the divine
assurances of Your will. I ask that You will fulfill in them the promise of the
fullness of Your Holy Spirit, the promise of Your call upon their lives, and
the promise of Your presence with them always.
