My Anchor Holds

This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Hebrews 6:19 NLT

God has provided an anchor for you as you sail upon the rough seas of the times in which we live. The purpose of an anchor is to keep a craft safe and secure by preventing it from drifting into unwanted waters due to powerful winds or strong currents.

 

What is the anchor God has given you for your journey? Hebrews 6:19 says your anchor is HOPE. 

What makes your anchor an anchor of hope? It is the Rock to which it holds. 

 

Your Rock is Jesus! Your hope is anchored to a Rock that will never go away or change. In the midst of the stormy sea around us, the Spirit wants you to know, “Your anchor holds!”...and so it does...upon the solid Rock.

 

If someone today should ask you how you are doing, may I suggest the following reply...

“My anchor holds!”
...
