Today is Your Best Day Because of Prayer (Part 1)

Let us therefore come boldly into the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 KJV
The benefits of prayer are endless, the effectiveness of prayer is limitless, and the opportunities in prayer are boundless. Today is your best day because of the impact, the influence, and the power of prayer.
There is no wall that can keep prayer out, no policy that can shut prayer out, and no law that can wipe prayer out. Through prayer you can go places you've never been, impact people you've never met, discover things you've never known, open up your heart to joys you've never experienced, and move the hand of God in ways you've never seen.
God, through prayer, invites you to receive of His grace and mercy whenever you are in need. He encourages you to ask, to knock, and to call upon Him so that you may learn His will, know His heart, and receive His answers. Your prayers can have an important part in seeing a lost soul saved, a weak person strengthened, a needy person helped, a weary person encouraged, and a bound person set free.
The opportunities and possibilities of prayer are vast. Think of these examples to build your faith:
Abraham's servant prayed for guidance and found a wife for Isaac (Genesis 24). Moses prayed and bitter waters turned sweet (Exodus 15:25). Moses prayed for Miriam's leprosy and saw her healing (Numbers 12:13-15). Gideon prayed and had God's guidance confirmed to him (Judges 6:36-40). Hannah prayed and conceived a son (1 Samuel 1:10-17). Samson prayed and received strength to destroy his enemies (Judges 16:28-30). David prayed in the time of adversity and God delivered him (Psalm 118:5). Solomon prayed and God gave him wisdom (1 Kings 3). Elijah prayed and changed the weather (1 Kings 17:1-7). Daniel prayed and God revealed things to him (through the book of Daniel). Zacharias prayed for a child and God gave him a son (Luke 1:13). The disciples prayed for Peter and God delivered him from prison (Acts 12). Jesus prayed for His disciples and the Holy Spirit came (John 14:16).
