Reflections from Psalm 25:10, Part 2

Reflections from Psalm 25:10, Part 2
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth (Psalm 25:10 NKJV).

Is anything too hard for the Lord? Genesis 18:14 NKJV
For with God nothing will be impossible. Luke 1:37 NKJV
For I am the Lord, I do not change. Malachi 3:6 NKJV

Truth- Is God absolute? Absolutely! Everything about God is absolute. His ways, His work, and His words are absolute. His person, His power, and His promises are absolute.

There is nothing about God that is imperfect, unsure, impossible, incomplete, inconsistent, impure, flawed, damaged, marred, mixed, restricted, inconsistent, untrue, or limited.

God’s kingdom is the only absolute, unshakable foundation upon which you can build your life. Everything else shifts, moves, shakes, disappoints and changes.

Truth establishes and stabilizes your going, and places a foundation beneath your feet. Truth secures your way and enables you to keep your balance. Truth keeps you from falling, and motivates your obedience. Truth presents no empty promises. It never misdirects, misinforms, misleads, or misuses. It cannot be bound, held captive, or rendered powerless. Truth will never get you lost, cause confusion, deceive, turn you around in circles, disappoint or bring you to a dead end.

Truth is your freedom!

Because God is absolutely who He is, He cannot be the opposite of who He is. For example, because God is good it is impossible for Him to be evil. If God had any evil in Him He could not be absolutely good.

We are not absolutely good. We can do good things, but we can also do bad things. Often, people do “good things” in hopes of balancing out the bad things they have done. Jesus said, “There is none good but God.” God the Father is good (Psalm 118:1). God the Son is good (John 10:11). God the Holy Spirit is good (Eph. 5:9)….Absolutely good!

Is God good to you? Absolutely!

Reflections from Psalm 25:10, Part 1

Reflections from Psalm 25:10, Part 1
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth (Psalm 25:10 NKJV).

All the paths of the Lord- The Lord has a path for you. His call is to follow Him. Only Him. No other leader, no other voice, no other plan. The Lord is your Shepherd. He will lead. He knows the way. His path is always taking you in the right direction. It is a good path. A righteous path. A holy path. A peaceful path. He marks the way possible with covenants of mercy and words of life. Follow closely, placing your feet in His freshest footprints.

Mercy- Mercy is yours. Mercy to heal, mend, restore, and renew. Mercy declares, “Forgiveness is yours, Christ died for you! All things have become new, Christ rose for you! That which had you bound is broken, Christ lives in you! You have hope, a purpose, and a future, Christ walks with you! ‘All things are yours for you are Christ’s and Christ is God’s.’ Sin no longer holds you captive, you have been set free. You can walk unhindered upon the Lord’s path for your life. You are no longer under condemnation, and released from the guilt of the past. The weight and burden of sin has been taken off your shoulders. You can walk in the light and hear the Lord saying, ‘This is the way. Walk in it.’”

His mercies are new each morning to lift you up, move you forward, and strengthen you on your journey. Mercy will enable you to continue on without fear, shame, or condemnation.
