My Morning Prayer: Truths about Prayer

My Morning Prayer: Truths about Prayer
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Truths about Prayer
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14 NKJV).

God’s understanding of your need is much greater than your ability to express it.

Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him! (Matthew 6:8 NLT).

Cares that come are not to be carried but released into God’s hands.

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV).

The power in prayer is not found in the eloquence of the one who prays but in the power of God who answers.

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen (Matthew 6:13 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Thank you, Lord God, for the many ways you provide for me every day. Thank you for including your will in my needs, and for covering me with your wings. Thank you for knowing what I need before I do. Thank you for caring for me and receiving my cares as I turn them over to you. Thank you for protecting me from temptation and delivering me from the evil one. Thank you for reminding me that my home is not here on earth, but in your kingdom, where your power and glory reign. Lord, I want to be with you for eternity! Maranatha! Amen!

Where Would We Be Without Jesus?

Where Would We Be Without Jesus?
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5 NLT).

Without Jesus’s words we would be witnesses with nothing to say; Without Jesus’s authority we would be ambassadors with nothing to do; Without Jesus’s love we would be servants with nothing to give.

"I am not strong, but I receive Him who is made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. In absolute dependence on the Savior, we exemplify that growing sense of need that is one of the sure signs of the humble and contrite heart that God will not despise."  -F. B. Meyer

My Morning Prayer: The Lord Is Near

My Morning Prayer: The Lord Is Near
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Lord is Near
-Roy Lessin

What could be sweeter or dearer than to know that no one is nearer to your heart, your soul, or your deepest desires than the Lord. His caring eyes are upon you, His protecting hands are over you, His assuring voice speaks peace to you, His loving heart responds to you. You can come to Him in quietness and confidence, in faith, in hope, in trust, in thanks, in worship, in praise, and in prayer.

He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Good morning, God. Thank You for keeping Your eyes upon me, my life, and those I love. Thank You for Your hands showing Your involvement in my life. Thank You for Your love, and the way You show Your care for my heart, spiritually, romantically, and physically. I love that I can come to You in quietness, confidence, faith, hope and trust...in thanksgiving, worship, praise, and in prayer. Your presence is the best constant in my life, in this turbulent world, and in these crazy times. In all things, in all ways, I trust You and Your will for me. Thank You Lord Jesus. It's in Your name I pray, amen.

My Morning Prayer; God Will Comfort You

My Morning Prayer; God Will Comfort You
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

God Will Comfort You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Comfort in prayer comes by knowing that the One you look to is always looking out for you. He is not only with you, but He is actively doing everything that is necessary to keep you safe within His care. You can be assured that above you are His tender mercies…around you is His unfailing love…underneath you are His everlasting arms.

Let, I pray You, Your merciful kindness and steadfast love be for my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant (Psalm 119:76 AMPC).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Thank You, Father, for You are always watching out for me, caring for me, and providing for me. Thank You for keeping me safe within Your care, for placing Your tender mercies above me, Your unfailing love around me, and carrying me in Your everlasting arms. As I face this week, this day, this situation, remind me of the place You hold in my life, and the ways You are doing battle on my behalf. Help me to desire more of You, and less of myself. May Your will rule in my heart and my life. I love You, and need to be reminded of Your unwavering love for me. In Jesus's name, amen.

My Morning Prayer, Nothing Is Better than His Presence

My Morning Prayer, Nothing Is Better than His Presence
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Nothing Is Better than His Presence
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The greatest thing your heart can experience with God is His presence. He is greater than any of His gifts. What He is to you is greater than anything He can do for you. His lovingkindness is better than life…in His presence is fullness of joy…at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. When God gives Himself to you there is nothing higher or greater He can give.

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You (Psalm 63:3 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Oh Dear Father...how often I try to substitute Your gifts for Your presence. Help me to desire only You, only Your presence, Your right hand, Your touch. I know in my head that I need You, help me to need You more than the gifts, more than You working Your will in my life, more than the healing. I just want You. Help me to keep these things in perspective, to be content sitting in silence at Your feet, meditating on Your Word, worshiping You in truth. I need more of You every moment of every day. In Jesus's name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: God’s Love for You

My Morning Prayer: God’s Love for You
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

God's Love for You
-Roy Lessin

Child of God, how does He love you?

He loves you—
With an everlasting love;
With a perfect love;
With a pure love;
With a sacrificial love;
With an unfailing love;
With a steadfast love;
With a kind love;
With a forgiving love;
With an accepting love;
With an all-embracing love;
With an enduring love;
With a truthful love;
With a holy love;
With a gracious love;
With a patient love.

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you” (Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

My gracious Heavenly Father, good morning! You are the only source of pure and perfect love, and although You surround me with it, I forget it so easily!

When I'm feeling unlovable, You remind me that You created me on purpose and according to Your plan for my life—and not according to the worlds' standards, but Your heavenly ones. When I'm feeling my heart turn ugly, remind me of the many ways I've seen Your love at work, and help me release the ties that entangle me to the sins of this world and to claim the victory because of who You are at work in my life.

When I'm feeling alone, remind me where You are in my life. Help me to invite You into every day, every moment, every situation—to know that You are with me and for me, not for my glory but for Your kingdom's growth and glory. Let Your light shine through me and point others to You...because of Your love for me and them...and Your desire to know us and be involved intimately in our lives. Lord, I need You...WE need You! We need MORE of You, every hour we need You. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: The Yoke of Jesus

My Morning Prayer: The Yoke of Jesus
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Yoke of Jesus
-Roy Lessin

I delight to do Your will, O my God (Psalm 40:8 NKJV).

If you are heavy laden, come and receive Jesus’s easy yoke; if you are stressed, come and receive Jesus’s light burden; if you are weary, come and receive Jesus’s rest. When you are yoked to Jesus you are not yoked to heaviness, drudgery, or despair.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Good Morning, Father. Thank You for the freedom and peace I am offered through communing with You. Thank You for giving me Your easy yoke in exchange for my stressful, tiresome and heavy burdens. I ask You to remind me of the opportunity to lay down the things that trip me up and bury me in day-to-day life. I ask You to relieve me of the drudgery and despair that the world wants to place on me, and I gladly lay these things at Your feet and ask You to work Your will in them and through me. I want Your will to be done in my life, victoriously! In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: God Is Changeless

My Morning Prayer: God Is Changeless
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

God Is Changeless
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

I am the Lord, I do not change (Malachi 3:6 AMP).

God never changes. He is perfect—without flaw, error, inconsistency, mistake, or poor judgment. God is not moody. He is always righteous. His goodness, His purity, His holy nature, His justice, and His character are eternal.

Knowing that God is changeless means that you can fully trust Him and wholly obey Him.

God did not begin to love man when Jesus came. Jesus came to roll back the curtain and show man the heart that was eternal, the love that was always there. -G. Campbell Morgan

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, God...Your ability to remain perfect in this imperfect world over all eternity amazes me. Thank You for being constantly good, without flaw, error, inconsistency, mistake, or poor judgment. Thank You for not being moody, when my emotions and feelings seem to command my attention to make every decision. Thank You for being righteous, good, and always having pure motives based on Your holiness and purity—so opposite my selfish motives based on my wants. Your justice is greater than any court in the land and Your character traits are eternal and never changing, while mine change moment by moment. I have so much room to grow!

Because of who You are, and HOW You are, help me to trust Your will in every aspect of my life. I want to show my love for You by being obedient and walking in Your will, according to Your Word. Help me to discern Your hand at work in me and throughout my life. Change me. Change me. Change me! In Jesus' name. Amen.

My Morning Prayer: The Lord Knows Where to Place You

My Morning Prayer: The Lord Knows Where to Place You
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Lord Knows Where to Place You
-Roy Lessin

Jesus…said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you.” Mark 5:19 NKJV

Sometimes we think we can serve God better and more effectively if we are somewhere else and with other people. We can think, I will serve You, Lord, when You send me to the mission field; I will let my life be a witness for You when I am with strangers, but not when I am with my family and friends here at home. God wants you to trust Him to work through you in the place He has you. He wants to work through you to touch the people who are around you now.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Good morning, God. Thank You for sustaining me through the night, and waking with me in the morning. I want all that You have for me today, and trust You will help me to hear Your voice through the day and that You will work through me right where I am today. Help me to discern Your voice, and help others to see You at work in me and through me. Let minds and hearts be open to receive the Good News of Jesus and give me a new boldness to share with them as You lead me. I love You and trust You! In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: The Lord Will Use You

My Morning Prayer: The Lord Will Use You
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Lord Will Use You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

When we say to God, “Yes, use me,” that does not mean that our obedience of faith is complete. We, by faith, have the opportunity to add this commitment to our prayer, “Yes, Lord, use me now, in this moment, if it is Your time.” God wants to use us in His appointed time, not ours. We cannot live a life of faith and put things off for another day if God says, “Do it now,” and we do not want to rush ahead if God says, “Wait.”

He [God] said, “I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.”… I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. Acts 26:16, 19 NKJV

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, You are my Creator, my Healer, my Provider, and the lifter of my head, and I trust You with my day-to-day and all of my tomorrows. Help me to discern when opening doors are from You, and to know when Your perfect timing is. Prepare me to receive the changes and challenges placed before me so I might be changed to become more like You. You love me like no other, and I want to share that love with others who don't yet recognize You as Savior and Messiah. Equip me to love and serve like You have. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: Not Ability but Availability

My Morning Prayer: Not Ability but Availability
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

 Not Ability but Availability
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 NKJV

When we say “not me” we place the focus upon ourselves, our limitations, and weaknesses. However, faith says, “God can.” God can use me, gift me, empower me, and be to me all I need.

Gideon told God, “I can’t,” but God told Gideon, “You can because I have sent you and I will be with you.” When you have Him you have all you need!

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Lord, You are gracious and generous, and give us all good things. You walk with us through difficult seasons and provide for our every need. Thank You for Your faithfulness.

When we face new opportunities, help us to discern Your hand and Your voice leading us. Let us not fear, knowing that You can use us, gift us, empower us and be all that we need. You will not leave us, and will grow us through new seasons and situations. Father, help me to feel Your presence in the midst of my every-day and as the foundation in all my tomorrows. I love You and want to serve You with all that I have. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: He Reduces to Increase

My Morning Prayer: He Reduces to Increase
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Don’t be discouraged today if you sense God’s hand doing its sanctifying work in your life. If He is trimming your wick, it is only to make your light shine brighter; if He is allowing you to be pressed within His caring hands, it is only to release the flow of the sweet wine of His Spirit.

Humble yourself under His mighty hand, and as you do, allow this prayer to be upon your lips: Father, work in me what I cannot work; do in me what I cannot do; be in me what I cannot be; live through me what I cannot live—for I know it is through You, and You alone, that my life will be to the praise of Your glory. Amen.

He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more (John 15:2 NLT).

Jesus Died for You

Jesus Died for You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The message of the cross is a message of God’s amazing love and grace. The Bible tells us that Jesus died for you.

Jesus dying for you is a glorious truth. He died for your sins. He took your sins upon Himself. He was your sacrificial lamb. His blood made atonement for you.

He was your substitute, dying in your place—taking your judgment, your death, your hell. He died as your Redeemer, shedding His blood to buy you back to God as His possession, and to bring you the heart-freeing joy of knowing Him.

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer: All He Is, He Is for You

My Morning Prayer: All He Is, He Is for You
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

All He Is, He Is for You
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

In Him all the treasures of [divine] wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and [all the riches of spiritual] knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden (Colossians 2:3 AMP).

Provider: You are satisfied.
Teacher: You are instructed.
Shelter: You are covered.
Rock: You are secure.
Victor: You are triumphant.
Shepherd: You are cared for.
Captain: You are protected.
Encourager: You are built up.
Salvation: You are delivered.
Healer: You are whole.
Rest: You are comforted.
Guide: You are directed.
Confidence: You are assured.
Father: You are accepted.
Deliverer: You are free.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Lord, You have been so faithful to be each of these for me. Let me not forget Your goodness and the many ways You have provided for me. I have not been, and will never be, alone. Let me feel Your presence in my life, as You work in me, through me, and around me. Let me meditate on Your Word, Your promises, and Your places in my life. Let me know You intimately as You fulfill each of these places in my life. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: The Humble Place

My Morning Prayer: The Humble Place
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Humble Place
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts (Isaiah 57:15 NLT).

God’s grace works within our lives to strip us and reduce us, to mold us and shape us, to conform us into His image, and to transform us into His likeness. God reveals to us our true needs and causes us to see how truly dependent we are upon Him. God does this, not to leave us empty, but to fill us with His true riches found in Jesus Christ; not to leave us downcast, but to be our glory and the lifter of our heads; not to make our lives miserable, but to bring to us the fullness of His joy; not to make our lives meaningless, but to work within us His eternal purpose.

My Monday Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Lord God, You are my Father and Shepherd. You provide for me and direct me. You guide me to where I need to be in life circumstances and surround me with exactly what I need to be more dependent upon You. Thank You.

As the world is focused on the material things of Christmas, help me to continue to look in the manger, being grateful for all You have given me. Thank You for walking with me through difficult circumstances, for being Light in this dark valley, for comforting me in physical and emotional pain, for providing for me before I know what I will need for tomorrow. The "manna" of Your body and blood is more than enough to carry me through each day. I praise You for the forgiveness of my sins. I rejoice that You will return again one day. Give me courage to testify of Your goodness, which far surpasses worldly possessions.  Help me to be content in the "just enough" for today, and to trust You for tomorrow. Continue to make me transformed into Your likeness, to be filled with Your riches, and to be walking in the fullness of Your joy as You work within me Your eternal purpose. I ask all this in humility, that You loved a sinner such as me. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: As God’s Child, Who Is Against You?
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

As God's Child, Who Is Against You?
-Roy Lessin, A Place at His Table

If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31 NLT).

God is not against you.
Jesus is not against you.
The Holy Spirit is not against you.
The angels are not against you.
They are greater than any foe that is against you.
It is God who has the final authority
and the final say over everything that concerns you.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Dear Father, thank You for promising me that You would be with me, and for me. Thank You for showing Your greatness on my behalf, willing to protect me and watch over me. Thank You, God, for being the final authority in everything that concerns me. Thank You for Your love and care and going to battle on my behalf. Please help me to walk in the confidence I can claim, knowing that Your promises are true. Your love sustains me, and I love You because of Your love for me, a sinner. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: May You Find Jesus to Be…

My Morning Prayer: May You Find Jesus to Be…
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

May You Find Jesus to Be…
-Roy Lessin, A Place at His Table

For me to live is Christ [His life in me] (Philippians 1:21 AMPC).

May You Find Jesus to Be…
The music that causes your heart to sing;
The joy that causes your heart to rejoice;
The glory that causes your heart to worship;
The wonder that causes your heart to believe;
The security that causes your heart to trust;
The peace that causes your heart to rest;
The promise that causes your heart to hope;
The beauty that causes your heart to delight;
The majesty that causes your heart to surrender;
The love that causes your heart to give.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Dear Lord, You are ALL these things to me, and so much more. Thank You for being the music, joy and glory that calls me to worship and rejoice in You. Help me to believe when my faith is weak, to trust Your promises and rest in Your Word. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I might delight in You, as I surrender my life over and over every day, and give You my all, because it ALL comes from You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

My Morning Prayer: All Things Are Possible

My Morning Prayer: All Things Are Possible
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

All Things Are Possible
-Roy Lessin

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23 NKJV).

When your resources don’t match your need, faith says, “God is my provider.” When you are fearful to take the next step, faith says, “God will not fail me.” When you’re not sure what to do next, faith says, “God will guide me.”

When you are in a situation that seems impossible, faith says, “Nothing is too hard for the Lord.”

When the things that you are experiencing don’t make sense, faith says, “God knows what He is doing.”

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father, God, You ARE my provider. Thank You for the provisions You place within my grasp, and for each thing You give to me and those I love. You never fail me, and You will guide me. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Help me to see beyond my neediness and remember that You know what my needs are before I even ask or think. Provide faith for my impossible situations, and help me to trust You always. I know that You know what You are doing in my life, and You have every detail, even the ones I can't imagine. I surrender to Your wisdom and give you all authority to work things out the way You see as best for my future. I love You and thank You for Your love for me. In Jesus' name, amen.

My Morning Prayer: The Importance of Faith

My Morning Prayer: The Importance of Faith
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

The Importance of Faith
-Roy Lessin, A Place at His Table

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see…. So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him (Hebrews 11:1, 6 NLT)

Faith is the hand that reaches up, takes ahold of God’s promise, and gathers in the spiritual treasures that are found in Christ.

What things are possible for you today through faith? All things are possible, because your faith is in the God who knows no impossibilities.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

My sweetest Lord God, You alone know what the days ahead have in store. You alone know my wants and needs, my abilities, my realities. You hold the keys to the spiritual treasures I have not seen, Lord, open my eyes! Father, remind me of Your promises that are mine to claim. I come to You humbly laying these things at Your feet. Be at work in the circumstances that limit my abilities. Provide where I lack. Exceed where I limit. Be glorified in all these areas, and in every other area I now commit to You. I ask it all in Jesus' name. Amen.

My Morning Prayer: You Are My Peace, Part 2

My Morning Prayer: You Are My Peace, Part 2
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

You Are My Peace, Part 2
-Roy Lessin, A Place at His Table

Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life's circumstances]. The Lord be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:16 AMP).

Father, You are the author of peace…may Your peace be written upon my heart.
Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace…may Your peace rule over my heart.
Holy Spirit, You are the river of peace…may Your peace flow abundantly in my heart.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Father God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, may You write Your Peace upon my heart, and let it overflow into my life, my family, my home, my neighborhood, my workplace, my circumstances. Take hold of these things and cast out anything (in the powerful name of Jesus!) that causes angst and unbelief, conflict and despair, and root my heart and head in Your Word, the Bible. Let all other sources of rumors, opinions, even news, be silenced so that You are the loudest voice I hear speaking into my life, my circumstances, and the world around me—near and far away. I want to rest in You and Your promises. You have said that I will not walk alone, so let me see You, feel You, and know that You ARE with me, each step of the day. I love You because You first loved me. Let me show my love for You by loving others too, because You love them and want that no-one would perish. In Jesus' name. Amen.
