Timely Tidbits of Truth 55, Redeem

Timely Tidbits of Truth 55, Redeem
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Redeem means to be bought back, delivered, ransomed or purchased. As our Redeemer, God has purchased our freedom in Christ from the slave market of sin, delivered us from Satan’s power, and made us His own possession. We have been redeemed from a useless life to a fruitful life; from a life of bondage to a life of freedom; from a life of guilt, condemnation, and judgment to a life of forgiveness, justification, and peace.

I am the LORD…I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments (Exodus 6:6 KJV).

The Seven Colors of Grace, Part 1

The Seven Colors of Grace, Part 1

The heavens declare the glory of God (Psalm 19:1 NKJV).

Part 1, Promises

He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value] (2 Peter 1:4 AMP).

The seven colors of grace remind us of who God is and what He has promised. In the rainbow God tells us He is a promise maker, and that He keeps His promises.

The Bible is filled with God’s promises. They are not empty promises spoken with empty words. They are spoken from God’s heart and express His will. When God speaks a promise, He is faithful to His word and has the power to fulfill what He has said.

God never speaks a promise lightly. He never misspeaks. Every promise is intended for good, for His glory, and to fulfill righteousness. His character and divine attributes stand behind every promise. God cannot lie. Only the truth is in Him. God is perfect, without flaw or imperfection. God is holy. Nothing is too hard for Him, and nothing is impossible. When God speaks a promise there is no enemy who can overrule Him, silence Him, or cancel what He has said. God is almighty and rules over all.

God has left nothing unsaid that needed to be said to encourage us, keep us strong, and anchor us to His love, His word, His presence, and His will.

Every promise that is needed to keep us steadfast, secure, and filled with confident hope has been spoken in His Scriptures and revealed through His Son.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,  who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:3-5 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer; Conversations 7

My Morning Prayer; Conversations 7
Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Conversations 7
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The tempter said to me:
You’ve worked hard and had a busy life. You deserve to retire and spend your time relaxing and enjoying yourself.

I answered:
Why would I want to retire from the things that last forever!

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless (1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT).

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.
(Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Good Morning Lord! As my generation is aging, more and more comes across our screens and into our mailboxes about retirement and leaving the workforce. I realize You have created me and gifted me with a unique set of skills and talents, and I want to continue to serve You in all the ways You lead me. I also want to be an encouragement to others in similar situations! Equip me in this season of change. Continue to point me to your Word, to find the Scriptures to inspire and lead me into whatever You have for me in the next season of life. Give me courage to stay in my current situation, or give me bravery to step into the open doors that are clearly meant for me to walk through. I know that it is not about money, benefits, or security—for only You hold the keys to whatever my needs may be in every tomorrow. This is about being strategically placed to bring honor to Your name, to grow Your kingdom, and to encourage the body of Christ. Lord, I want to walk with You every day of my life, and I am confident that I will spend eternity with You. Prompt me to follow Your lead, that others may dwell with us in heaven for eternity. In Jesus's name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 54, Repurposed

Timely Tidbits of Truth 54, Repurposed
Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

There are many “RE” words that are packed with hope and encouragement. The word "Repurpose" reminds us that many things once discarded, considered useless, and put aside for the trash heap, can be brought back, become useful once again, have value, and take on new meaning.

In the Scriptures we find some wonderful “RE” words that can keep hope and encouragement alive and thriving in our hearts and help us to discover the new things God is doing in our lives.

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV).

The Seven Colors of Grace, Introduction

The Seven Colors of Grace, Introduction
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

I thank my God…for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:4).

Grace is God’s goodness; it is the kindness of God’s heart. - A.W. Tozer

Spiritual light has many beams and prismatic colors….As all the colors blend into one resplendent rainbow, so all the glories of heaven and earth meet in Jesus. -C.H. Spurgeon

As each one has received a gift, minister to one another, as good stewards of the manifold (multi-colored) grace of God (1 Peter 4:10).

When I first read 1 Peter 4:10 and discovered that the word “manifold” can also be translated “multi-colored” it opened a new door of insight into the riches and fullness of God’s grace. It is a grace found in Jesus Christ alone, and can be depicted in each of the seven colors of God’s rainbow.

As we focus on these colors it will be a spiritual focus. The aim is not to share scientific information about the rainbow (as interesting as that might be), but to present biblical truth to help you discover why God placed this amazing sight of seven glorious colors in the sky.

May His light shine upon you, may His grace bring you the greatest treasures of His love, and may His everlasting faithfulness bring to your life a heart filled with hope.
