Timely Tidbits of Truth 51

Timely Tidbits of Truth 51
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Jesus pleased His Father. This was His joy. And what is best for Him is what is best for you. Make His heart glad and your heart will be happy. Fill Him with pleasure and your heart will be fulfilled.

...Everything was created through him and for him (Colossians 1:16 NLT).

And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy” (Matthew 3:17).

The ALL of God

The ALL of God
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

God is ALL God! He is not sometimes God, not usually God, not often God, not mostly God, and not part-time God. He is who He is and will never be anything less at any other time. God is ALL God, eternally!

There is no “some” or “sometimes” in His nature, character, or attributes. ALL is all! There is nothing lacking or missing in God.

What about your relationship with Him as your Heavenly Father? He IS “all in” concerning you, His child! He is your full-time Father not your part-time parent! He is your ALL loving, caring, good, and faithful Father!

Here is one of many indicators…

God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV).

Today, God has left nothing on the table concerning you. He has already made available to you all the grace and sufficiency you need in every situation to abundantly do what is good.

How about our response to Him? Is He receiving from us all our trust? All our hearts? In all our ways?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV).

My Morning Prayer: Conversations 3

My Morning Prayer: Conversations  3

-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Conversations  3
-Roy Lessin

The tempter said to me:

Have you noticed how expensive things have gotten? You don’t have a lot of resources. Aren’t you worried?

I answered:

I don’t depend upon my resources. The One who takes care me has resources that are unlimited. When His are gone is when I’ll start to worry.

For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalms 50:10 NLT).

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Whew, Lord. This rings true to me today. Thank You for placing me in a place where I have access to all I need...even if it is more expensive. Help me to remember that I only need what I NEED, not all that I want, or all that I think I deserve. Help me to continue to remember those who have even less than I do, and to continue to live generously as You lead me. Thank You for access to You through prayer, and that I can ask You for anything, and that within Your will, my needs will be met. Thank You for the power of Your Holy Spirit, who whispers to me when You want me to give. All I have is because of You, and all I can receive is from You. May I continue to treat each thing as it is Yours, always. I want to be Your hands and feet in this neighborhood, this church, this community, this world. You own them all. Help me to release what is rightfully Yours back to You, that You may place it where it needs to be. I see how You use my tithes to go farther than my feet can go. Help me to continue to live this way. In Jesus's name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 50

Timely Tidbits of Truth 50
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Knowing that God has been merciful to you through His Son is reason enough to have a good day.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23:6 NKJV).

I will be glad and rejoice in Thy mercy (Psalm 31:7 KJV).

Divine Guidance

Divine Guidance
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Here are a few thoughts about Divine Guidance from Oswald Chambers…
“We say—God intends me to be here because I am so useful. Jesus never estimated His life along the line of the greatest use. God puts His saints where they will glorify Him, and we are no judges at all of where that is.” -Oswald Chambers

It’s good to remember that our choices are not based upon what is the easiest thing for us to do, or what is the most comfortable thing for us to do. Our choices are based upon what God’s asks us to do, not about the outcome. Jesus never said “follow success,” and He never said “follow failure.” He said “follow Me.”
