Timely Tidbits of Truth 44

Timely Tidbits of Truth 44
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

He who is All-in-All,
Gave His all,
So that you could receive
All that He has to give.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32 NKJV)

Something Better

Something Better
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

There is something better than praying—Praying in faith. James 1:6

There is something better than confessing sin—Confessing and forsaking sin. Proverbs 28:13

There is something better than giving your word and keeping it—Giving your word and keeping it, even if it’s to your own hurt. Psalm 15:4

There is something better than reading the Bible—Reading the Bible and obeying it. Psalm 119:9

There is something better than feeding the poor—Feeding the poor and loving them. 1 Corinthians 13:3

There is something better than serving the Lord—Serving the Lord with gladness. Psalm 100:2

There is something better than praising the Lord when times are good—Praising the Lord at all times. Psalm 34:1

My Morning Prayer: Words to Share His Heart

My Morning Prayer: Words to Share His Heart
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley

Words to Share His Heart
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

My tongue is the pen of a ready writer (Psalm 45:1 NKJV).

Hear what the Spirit is saying.
Write holy words.
Overflow with goodly themes.
Declare freeing truth.
Speak in gracious tones.
Dip your pen in the ink of light.

Write as expectantly as the dawning of a new day, as boldly as the brightness at high noon, and as tenderly as the hues painted across the sky at sunset.

Write with the light that causes kingdom seeds to grow.

Write with the consolation that will dry the tears of the brokenhearted.

Write with words that shed light upon a darkened pathway, hope upon an anxious soul, and understanding upon those who seek to know the way.

Write words that dance like starlight, beam like moonlight, and glow like candlelight, even on the darkest night.

Be a ready writer.

My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley

Thank You, Lord, for this day. Thank You for Your love and provisions for me. Thank You that You don't leave me alone...You are always calling to me, beckoning me to sit and commune with You. Thank You for the testimony of Your Word at work in my life—in me, through me, and all around me. Give me wisdom Lord, to know when to share the words that tell of the work You have done and continue to do in me. It is never about what I have done...how far I have come, but what You have done, and continue to do in my life. May You be glorified in my life, my HIStory, and every tomorrow that You walk with me through. I want to bring Your Light and Hope to a hurting world, that they may be glorified in and through You too. In Jesus's name, amen.

Timely Tidbits of Truth 43

Timely Tidbits of Truth 43
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

God has given you the opportunity to be filled with the One who can tell you more about Jesus than anyone who has ever lived.

But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me (John 15:26 NKJV).

Be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).

Where Would We Be Without Jesus?

Where Would We Be Without Jesus?
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5 NLT).

Without Jesus’s words we would be witnesses with nothing to say; Without Jesus’s authority we would be ambassadors with nothing to do; Without Jesus’s love we would be servants with nothing to give.

"I am not strong, but I receive Him who is made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. In absolute dependence on the Savior, we exemplify that growing sense of need that is one of the sure signs of the humble and contrite heart that God will not despise."  -F. B. Meyer
