The 2021 Christmas Series: We Have Seen His Glory

The 2021 Christmas Series: We Have Seen His Glory
-Marina Bromley, Meeting in the Meadow

Every few months Roy and I pray and plan about what we want to share with you, our friends and readers, throughout the year. This year Roy thought it would especially timely to share his series, We Have Seen the Glory.

The series was originally written in four sections; Adore Him, Seek Him, Thank Him and Praise Him. To make it easier to read across our social media platforms (our blog, Facebook, and Instagram) we have broken it down into 12 parts, three for each of the four sections. As you read them in order you will find yourself on a journey preparing your heart to completely celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day. That is our earnest prayer.

We have just brought our hearts to Him full of Thanksgiving, and we want to use that as our foundation as we move towards Christmas. Join us as we take time in devotion to God and traveling together into We Have Seen the Glory.

Blessings to you in this season of celebrations!
Marina, for Roy and Meeting in the Meadow

We Have Seen His Glory: Adore Him, Part 1
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

He is thy Lord; and worship thou Him. Psalm 45:11 KJV

On a natural level, the worship of Jesus as a baby didn’t make sense. His life was still untested and unproven. He had not yet said anything, nor had He done anything that would substantiate Him as Messiah. His birthplace gave no indication of His royalty; the economic status of his parents spoke nothing of His influence or power; and His bed of hay spoke nothing of His kingly throne or crown.

The true worship of Jesus was not based on what was seen with natural eyes, but instead, on what was seen with spiritual eyes. With the eyes of faith, the true worshiper saw who Jesus was, why He had come, and where He had come from.

They worshiped because the tiny babe in the manger was the Son of God.

He was the One who was there at the beginning, speaking into existence the heavens, the earth, and all that lives upon it.  He was the One who knew eternal fellowship with His Father in heaven, and He was the One who was adored by the entire heavenly host.

Fret-Free Friday: The Government

Fret-Free Friday: The Government
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

The Government (the rule and reign of your life) is upon Jesus's shoulders. He hasn't placed any of it on yours. He has a plan and purpose for your life. He not only knows where He is taking you, but He also knows how to get you there.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength (Isaiah 26:3-4).

God won't say or do anything for the purpose of frustrating you, making you anxious, causing you panic, or filling you with fear.

The Government will be upon His shoulders (Isaiah 9:6).

The Dynamic Duo; A Thanksgiving Devotion

Hello Friends! Happy Thanksgiving! We are happy to share this special, timely message from Roy Lessin to encourage us through this Thanksgiving Day.

May you be healthy, and may you feel the presence of the Lord with you today, as we give thanks to Him.

-Marina, for Meeting in the Meadow

The Dynamic Duo; A Thanksgiving Devotion
-Roy Lessin

There are two words found in a scripture passage about prayer that can make a powerful impact upon your life.

The scripture is Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The two words that make a dynamic duo are thanksgiving and peace.

Thanksgiving is something you speak to God in prayer, and peace is something God gives in answer to your prayer.

Think of it as receiving two answers to your prayer. Peace is the first answer. It is an immediate answer.

The second answer is related to your specific request. This answer will come in agreement with God’s timetable. His perfect wisdom determines the right timing. What better way to wait on the Lord’s answer and timing than with a heart at rest and a mind at peace.

And what do you do as you wait? Thank Him!

Thank Him for His peace that keeps your heart and mind from becoming anxious, impatient, worried, or fearful. Thank Him for His wisdom that is providing the answer that is without flaw and will most glorify Him. Thank Him you can pray. Thank Him that He cares. And thank Him that you can, at all times, fully put your trust in Him.

Part 31: Knowing His Best...Walking in Rest

Part 31: Knowing His Best...Walking in Rest
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Knowing His Best...
I cannot think of anyone more unworthy to this cause than I, the least of the least of the saints. But here I am, a grace-made man, privileged to be an echo of His voice and a preacher to all the nations of the riches of the Anointed One, riches that no one ever imagined.  Ephesians 3:8 (VOICE)

Walking in Rest!
Rest in the riches of all you have in Christ. Because you are in Him, you have received grace and gifts (Ephesians 4:7, 8), a hope laid up in heaven (Colossians 1:5), been made a partaker of the inheritance of the saints (Colossians 1:27), been delivered from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13), been delivered from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 1:10), received an everlasting consolation and good hope (2 Thessalonians 2:16), been given the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), His word effectively working in you (1 Thessalonians 2:13), a crown of righteousness laid up for you (2 Timothy 4:8), been given great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:4), been given fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3).

My Morning Prayer: Promise

My Morning Prayer: Promise
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow

Promise
And they said to Him, Do You hear what these are saying? And Jesus replied to them, Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned infants You have made (provided) perfect praise? Matthew 21:16 AMP

Prayer
Father in heaven, holy is Your name. I ask that we will be true worshipers of God. I ask that we will be worshipers of You in spirit and in truth. I pray that we will see Your glory, be at Your feet, behold Your face, and be overcome by Your beauty. May Your praise daily be upon our lips. May we never lose the awe that comes from fixing our gaze upon You.

May our children worship You with the music of praise, with the words of gratitude, with the actions of love, with the attitudes of righteousness, with the shouts of joy, and with the new songs of the Spirit that are born out of a deep devotion to You.

I ask that their lives will be a daily celebration. May they continually drink from the river of Your mercies, break bread at Your table, and delight themselves in the pleasures of Your companionship.

May they always walk in Your freshest footsteps, in newness of life, in fellowship with Your people, and in the joys of their salvation. And thank You for the joy You give as we continue to experience You in our lives.
